Sorry for all of the posts. I'm trying to catch up on the past few busy weeks before the end of the year hits. Every year, at the end of the year, I order a blog book so we can have it as a journal, so I want to make sure I catch everything.

A few weeks ago I planned to meet up with my mom at the mall that is half way between us. It is about an hour and a half  drive so not too bad. When I got there, my mom pulled over to park by us and my dad was driving. He took the day off to come shop with us! It was a fun surprise! My parents ended up wanting to shop for Jon and I, which I so didn't know was the plan. But I got some really cute stuff at Charming Charlies,  which is now my new favorite place. It was a fun day and I was worn out afterwards.

Our selfie, or as mom says, our usie.

Jackson was too small for the ride and there were no straps so my mom held him in. I'm shocked he didn't puke, that thing was crazy and bucked like a wild bull.

A Day Off

The day before we went to the temple, Jon had a Friday off and it was Free Friday at a local museum so of course we had to go. We also headed to an awesome park where the geese bit my knees and tried to assault us. We loved the park but the geese were crazy and really wanted food I guess. I tried to feed them at first but decided I wanted to get away from them after they attacked us. The last picture is from our home date that night, Jon dying my hair. Hopefully he doesn't see that I posted that.  :)

I LOVE these two so much!!

A Day Trip

A few weeks ago Jon and I went to the Columbia, S.C. Temple. It had been a while since we had been able to go, since it is a long drive and Jackson is still nursing. We decided to go with Jackson and rotate doing initatories, I went in first while Jon headed to the bookstore and to walk around with Jackson and then we switched. It was sad not going in together but it was nice to be able to go as a family and let Jackson see and touch the temple. He has been to the Raleigh Temple once when he was about 5 weeks old. I loved having a family day together!

10 months

Jackson has changed so much!! This month has been full of standing and walking while holding on to couches, doors, toys, people, etc... Jackson understands how to walk and wants to do it but honestly his legs just aren't ready. He still has very baby type feet and legs so he walks awkwardly but he is getting stronger everyday. I think he will walk before his first birthday, I'm guessing around Christmas time. Jackson still has a peg leg crawl most if the time but is faster than ever. He can crawl over anything and is always adamant about playing with cords and electric outlets. Jackson still loves all of the same things but has become a pickier eater. He also is becoming more toddler like in his little fits where he throws his body around on the floor. Usually this is just for a few minutes around nap or bed time. He is normally so happy and content. He continues to babble and growl more and more everyday. Jackson has been a pretty good sleeper and usually wakes up once to nurse still. He still loves waking up for the day by 5am, 6 if we are lucky but that is so rare. He is into everything lately, as some of these pictures will show.

Jackson's new thing lately is crawling away during diaper changing or clothes changing. He smiles and thinks it is a game and looks around to see your reaction. We can't help but play along because it is so cute! Although it can get frustrating if I am in a hurry. I usually don't fight him to get dressed unless we have to go somewhere. And he is normally really good about getting dressed.

He also loves when I crawl around and chase him and say "I'm going to get you!" He smiles so big, shrieks, and crawls away fast. It is my favorite game to play with him. Jon and I also love to take turns hiding and running around with Jackson playing peek a boo. Jackson gets so excited every time.

Jackson loves getting his hands and face washed and sometimes tries to stick his feet in the sink too. He loves if we pat his lips with our hands when we wash his face so he can make funny noises. He also loves laughing at burping and farting and we of course are so proud of this. It is so cute!

Stats: We didn't weigh or measure him since it is super inaccurate anyway. I would guess he is around 18 pounds.
