Jackson's Birthday/Andrew's Blessing

We decided to combine Jackson's birthday and Andrew's blessing since the timing worked out so For Jackson's 2nd birthday we kept things pretty simple and had a party at church with all the family that was in town for Andrew's blessing. We had pizza and of course cake and ice cream. Jon and his sister Megan did an awesome job on the cake. Jackson is such a fun boy, we love him so much! We gave him a double decker bus, a Lightening McQueen car, and the green bus Filmore from Cars. We also gave him a new sippie.

Before everyone came into town, we took Megan on our favorite hike to a waterfall. It was a beautiful day for it. A few days later everyone else came into town. Those who came up on Jon's side were: Megan, Jenna, Brian and Mandy (and 4 kids). And those on my side who came were my parents and Cameron and Sandra (and 5.5 kids).

I didn't get any great pictures of the blessing day- it was a crazy day. But this is the same outfit Jon wore and Jackson wore. It barely fit Andrew and I had to leave it unsnapped because it was too tight. He is a big boy! Almost 8 weeks old here!

Thanksgiving and Christmas

I am a little behind on blogging. I barely get any time to do things for myself and once I do I usually am lazy and want to sit and veg. Anyway, I want to update on our holiday events and then I will catch up on everything else.

Thanksgiving we were all sick so we didn't end up having thanksgiving dinner until Sunday. We ate nachos on thanksgiving because we didn't feel up to   cooking anything. All of us but Andrew ended up with pink eye and then all the boys ended up with pneumonia. Andrews pneumonia hit later than Jon and Jacksons and he was in the ER shortly after Christmas. Luckily antibiotics did the trick and we avoided a hospital stay. I had a bad cold and pink eye but not pneumonia.

We were all pretty healthy over Christmas. We headed to my parents for a few days. We stayed at their house most of the time and went on walks, enjoyed crazy thunderstorms and 70 degree weather. Jon and I did a sealing session at the temple and he almost passed out. For Christmas we got Jackson a tool bench, a book, a trash truck, and a magna-doodle.
